Fischer's Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze in rural Callaway County near Jefferson City offers a variety of family fun.
In addition to a 10-acre corn maze and a 24-acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch, the farm's attractions also include a 250-bushel corn box (a large sand box with corn instead of sand), hay rides, a smaller straw maze, farm animals and two recently acquired Clydesdales.
"You can't hardly get the kids out of the corn box," said Kim Fischer, who owns the farm with her husband, Jay Fischer.
She said her husband has "always done pumpkins," starting as a child working with his grandfather, and made the decision five years ago to add a corn maze.
The couple joined The Maize, a Utah-based company that helps design and "cut" corn mazes.
