Crusaders enter districts at 3-4 after loss to Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. - The Helias Crusaders have been here before.

Last year, the Crusaders took a 3-4 record into Class 4 District 10 play. Three games later, Helias was the district champion.

"Everything we work for is still in front of us," Helias coach Phil Pitts said after the Crusaders (3-4) dropped a 28-10 decision Friday night to the Hannibal Pirates.

The Crusaders turned it over five times, including four interceptions in a 2:45 contest where Helias threw 50 passes.
