Police: Descriptions of armed robbers similar

The investigation continues into two robbery reports from Tuesday night in Jefferson City.

According to police reports, officers were called about 10:45 p.m. to the Break Time Convenience Store, 1907 E. McCarty St., for a robbery that just occurred.

An employee told officers the suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The clerk gave the money to the suspect, who then left the business.

No one was harmed during the robbery.

The suspect was described as a white male, medium height and medium build, with a dark ball cap and blue bandana across his face.

Before the robbery, an attempted robbery took place at Subway, 905 Eastland Drive, when a suspect came into the business and displayed a handgun while demanding money from the clerk.

The clerk did not give the suspect any money, and the suspect left the business without further incident.

The suspect in that case resembles the suspect in the Break Time robbery, but there is no certainty that the two are connected, police said.

Authorities did point out that these incidents were different from a robbery that occurred at the Break Time on Ellis Boulevard on Sept. 28.

In that case, there were two suspects, both black males.
