Once one of the most hotly contested football rivalries in Missouri, the annual Jefferson City vs. Rockhurst tilt has cooled off in the last decade-plus.

Dominance by one team tends to do that to rivalries.

Jefferson City defeated Rockhurst in overtime during the 1999 season. The Hawklets returned the favor later that year in the playoffs. The Jays haven't beaten the Hawklets since.
