FREEBURG, Mo. (AP) - A central Missouri window manufacturer plans to spend more than $11 million on an expansion that could add 95 new employees.

Gov. Jay Nixon traveled to the Quaker Windows headquarters in Freeburg on Tuesday to announce the company's expansion plans. The state is offering the company more than $350,000 of tax incentives over five years.

Quaker Windows plans to build a new paint facility, which will free about 50,000 square-feet of additional manufacturing space. The company plans to start making windows specially designed for buildings in hurricane zones. It also plans to make a new line of wooden patio doors.

Last year, Quaker announced it was hiring 45 employees while expanding its production of windows that meet federal energy-efficiency standards.

The company employs more than 400 people.
