After spending years teaching, Julia Gampher knew eventually she would be asked to do something out of the ordinary. She just never knew it would be a former student asking her years later to literally go Over the Edge.
Gampher, previously Julia Koch, is a long-time educator in the area. She spent 19 years teaching in Jefferson City public schools and has spent the past four as principal at Blair Oaks Middle School.
Stacey Jones, who Gampher taught 19 years ago, called and recruited her to go Over the Edge for Special Olympics.
