Maybe Kenny James saw his family and friends in the stands and wanted to give them a wave. Still, with a punt coming to the Rock Bridge junior in the final minute of the second quarter in Saturday afternoon's game against Helias, it would have been a odd time for such a greeting.

It looked to most of the crowd at Adkins Stadium that James was signaling for a fair catch. The officials were an exception, as was James, who didn't have a Crusader within five yards of him when he caught the ball and returned it 61 yards for a touchdown.

The score was called back for an illegal block inside the Helias 10. But the Bruins scored two plays later - with :01.3 left in the half - to break a tie at 7 on their way to a 35-13 victory over the Crusaders.
