Washing my hands of college football and MLB

Sports Commentary

What an amazing week it was last week. In the span of just a few days, I was able to stop caring about college football (for a short period of time) and Major League Baseball (for a much longer one).

Let's start with the first sport, as Friday night pretty much assured I don't need to pay attention to college football the rest of the season.

With the Oklahoma State "juggernaut" putting up points in scary amounts, it appeared fans would get a national championship game between a pair of unbeaten teams, with LSU making up the other half of the equation.

But after a stunning 37-31 loss to middling Iowa State in double overtime, the dream is gone.

So because a Big 12 team couldn't take care of business, what do we have to look forward to in the BCS title game?
