A Jefferson City Public School District band teacher will enter a plea next February to charges of sexual contact with a student.
During an arraignment hearing before Cole County Judge Dan Green, Christopher Knehans, 37, of 740 Glendale Drive, waived formal arraignment and will either enter a plea or have trial date set for his case.
In October, the Cole County grand jury indicted Knehaus on two counts of sexual contact with a female student on two different days in Sept.
He is still on paid leave from the school district.
