Drowning victim identified

Officials with the Water Division of the Missouri Highway Patrol have identified the woman who was found dead in the Missouri River, Sunday.

According to official reports, the victim was identified as Fay Beeler, 65, Jefferson City.

Her body was discovered by hunters around 10 a.m.

The body was located a mile upstream from the Osage River.

Beeler's vehicle was found nearby.

Authorities said an autopsy has been ordered for Tuesday and that while the investigation is continuing, there have been no indications that foul play was involved in this case.
