Kaleb Wilson completed his mission with an individual title at the Class 1 Cross Country Championships.
A team title for Linn made it even sweeter. But the most satisfying part of Wilson's achievement came with the knowledge it was all for his cousin.
In the early part of the season, Wilson's cousin, Josh Webb, was involved in an car accident in Versailles. Webb's injuries were so severe they required an induced coma, which is still in effect.
From that point, Wilson dedicated the season to his cousin. The rest of the Wildcats followed suit.
So with individual and team state titles, Wilson accomplished exactly what he set out to do.
"It's very special," Wilson said, fighting back tears.
