When Jefferson City senior Conradette King began her cross country career four years ago, she didn't exactly have lofty goals for herself.
"My goal was to finish a 5K," King said with a smile.
King did more than that Saturday, as she ended her cross country career with a fourth-place finish and a time of 19:02 in the Class 4 Cross Country Championships at the Oak Hills Golf Center.
King, who didn't start cross country until her freshman year of high school, helped lead the Lady Jays to a seventh-place finish after a 10th-place finish a year ago.
