For the first time in recent memory - and maybe the first time in history - Jefferson City High School and Helias Catholic High School are holding graduation ceremonies on the same day.
The Helias program begins at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral.
Jefferson City's starts at 7 p.m. in Adkins Stadium unless weather forces the program to move into the Fleming Fieldhouse.
Public schools Superintendent Brian Mitchell said earlier this month the traditional Friday night graduation program was moved to Sunday "to give families more of a chance to visit and celebrate."
The Sunday date has been scheduled since last year.
