Your Opinion: Worlds apart on citizenship issue

Mr. Bruenger, "the birther," claims I am irrational but I am not the one making libelous accusations against the president.

Mr. Bruenger, you have twice asserted that President Obama's birth certificate is "heavily photo-shopped." How do you know this? Do you have training in computer forensics and have you personally examined the document? If the answer to these questions is no, your comments would be regarded as hearsay in any court, even in Stephen Limbaugh's.

My copy of the Constitution says nothing about both parents being citizens to be a natural born citizen. Where did you obtain your copy? Am I irrationally reading the document?

If I am irrational, why did a federal judge recently fine Orly Taitz, the originator of the birther notion, $20,000 for bringing a frivolous lawsuit to court? Why did the U.S. Supreme Court uphold that fine? What does the state of Hawaii have to gain by its assertions that President Obama was born in Honolulu? Are the governor and registrar of records of Hawaii irrational, too? Speaker of the House Boehner and Senator McCain have both stated that they believe President Obama is a natural born citizen, does that make them irrational? Is anyone who disagrees with you irrational?

Is the concept of innocent until proven guilty in a court of law irrational? If President Obama is guilty, which court has so judged him? Republicans control the House of Representatives and they haven't brought Articles of Impeachment against President Obama. Does that make them irrational as well?

If somehow you managed to achieve your dream of removing President Obama from office, what fantasies have you begun preparing to use against Vice President Biden? Is he a foreigner, too? Is he controlled by radio waves from Mars? Has his thinking been impaired by drinking fluoridated water?

You are entitled to your opinion, but that's just what it is. In my opinion, you live in the fantasy world of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Michelle Bachmann. My thoughts were original, not talking points originated by CPAC, the RNC or Fox News.

The reality of the situation is that President Obama is the president. You will have your chance in November 2012 to change that. Until then no amount of libel or Swift Boating is going to change reality.

Mr. Bruenger, you may have the last word, since no amount of reality is going to invade your fantasy world and I'll not respond again to you.

I'll live in my irrational world and you live in your fantasy world.
