A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center at 2310 Hyde Park Road in Jefferson City will open to the public on Wednesday.
The facility, which is accessible by appointment only, will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from March until October.
It will be closed November through February.

The center, which is a cooperative project between Jefferson City, Cole County and Allied Waste Services, is funded in part by a grant from the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District and approved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
The center manages household hazardous waste through reuse, recycling and proper disposal.
