A Westphalia man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Friday.
Kenneth Eichholz, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Miller County coroner at 7:55 p.m., according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.
He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Julie Laux, 35, Westphalia, on Missouri 52 west of St. Elizabeth. Carlee Abbott, 6, of Westphalia also was a passenger.
At 6:49 p.m. the vehicle driven by Laux ran off the roadway, and she overcorrected twice before the vehicle overturned. Eichholz was not wearing a seat belt, but Laux and Abbott were.

Laux is being held without bond in the Miler County jail and faces several charges, including felony manslaughter, second-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, DWI prior offender and careless and imprudent driving.
