Your Opinion: Obama's oil policy misguided

March 16th, 2011 by Mark Pavely, Jefferson City in News

Dear Editor:

It should be becoming obvious to most Americans that our nation is in a state of decline. We could call it a case of national suicide. Barack Hussein Obama prohibits American oil companies from extracting oil in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).

He also prevents them from extracting oil from shale rock in Western states that could make this nation oil independent for the next 100 years. One only needs to refer to the article in the March 7 issue of former Pres. Ronald Reagan's favorite publication "Human Events" to confirm this truth about our retrievable oil.

We're now hearing rumblings from the Obama administration that they are considering releasing oil from our strategic oil reserves. Why would he allow that and not let us retrieve oil from Alaska and the Western states shale rock which contains oil? Could it possibly be to weaken our nation by depleting our strategic oil reserves?

In the Apostle Peter's second letter to Christian churches chapter 1 verse 16, he emphasizes the point that the apostles never tried to deceive the people with cunningly devised fables about the divinity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as they were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

It appears that the earthworshiping liberals worldwide have created, through their fake religious fables, the belief that we are destroying the earth by our use of all fossil fuels which isn't proven science.

Pray for America and the world that all people come to a living faith in Jesus Christ through his Word.
