Missouri senators debate "Right to Work'

Missouri senators have renewed the long-simmering "Right to Work" debate.

Lawmakers on both sides of the issue spent about 90 minutes each laying out the issues they feel are important to the ongoing debate.

But no votes were taken, and Senate Floor Leader Tom Dempsey, R-St. Charles, said the Senate won't return to the debate until some time after next week's Spring Break.

"I'm still trying to get a number of our (other) priorities done with the rest of this week, including the Worker's Compensation bill," Dempsey explained. "There have been a lot of informal discussions, and it's time to take action on that bill.

"We've been talking about it since December."
