As part of the Lafayette Street reconstruction project, the Jefferson City intersection of Lafayette and East McCarty streets will be closed beginning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
The closure is expected to last for an indefinite period of time, and the intersection will reopen as soon as construction progress and weather permits.
Detour signs will be posted. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
