DNR reopens beach at Lake of Ozarks

The Grand Glaize beach at Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks State Park is once again open for swimming.

The beach has been closed off and on this summer because of high readings of E. coli bacteria. The Department of Natural Resources said Wednesday it has reopened Grand Glaize based on the latest test results.

Grand Glaize is one of two swimming beaches at the central Missouri lake.

Parks officials say the only state swimming beach still closed is located at northwestern Missouri's Lewis and Clark State Park. The beach remains flooded.
