Your Opinion: Outcry reveals double standard

Dear Editor:

Anger over the Casey Anthony verdict is overwhelming with public outcry. I was not on the jury or privy to hear all the testimony, so I have no right to make an informed decision on guilty or not guilty.

But we as parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles are appalled that a mother could murder and dump her baby daughter in a swamp. Pictures of such a precious cute brown-eyed two year old flashed across our TV screens for three years.

We identified her with our own little two year olds and asked how could a mother do such a hideous crime?

We are so angry and upset about this crime because we could see that beautiful innocent face of little Caylee every day on the news. But every day at Planned Parenthood Clinics around the world, thousands of Caylees are murdered by their mothers, with the help of our tax money.

We continue to back and vote for candidates and feminists who fight diligently for the "right to choose" to kill future cute, brown-eyed Caylees.

Why, as citizens and the voting public, can we not get as angry and verbal about the killing of innocent life in the womb?

Could it be that we refuse to believe that the baby in the womb left alone will grown into a cute, brown-eyed little boy or girl? Do we have to see a cute little face before we believe?

Just because it's the law doesn't make it right for the unborn baby.
