PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say an 8-year-old boy was killed when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving in southeast Missouri entered a pickup truck's path.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Jacob Harris of Portageville died at the scene of the crash Monday afternoon in New Madrid County.
The patrol says the boy left a field road and drove into the path of the vehicle driven by a 60-year-old Portageville man.
Authorities say the boy was not wearing a helmet.
