HALO's efforts for children gains national exposure

The founder of a local group appeared on national TV to talk about her efforts to raise money to help children around the world.

Rebecca Neuenswander was interviewed by news anchor Katie Couric on the CBS Evening News this week. Simultaneously, Jefferson City area supporters held a TV watch party at Gumbo Bottoms.

The HALO (Helping Art Liberate Orphans) Foundation helps to provide food, water, shelter, clothing, education, art therapy, and mentoring for girls in Uganda who once lived on the streets. It also works in other countries.
