RIVERSIDE, Mo. (AP) - A Kansas City, Kan., woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for shooting a man to death in his apartment in the nearby Missouri town of Riverside.
The Kansas City Star reported that Cavona Flenoy must serve 85 percent of her sentence before being eligible for parole.
Flenoy pleaded guilty in December to second-degree murder, armed criminal action and two stealing charges.
Platte County prosecutors said Flenoy admitted that she shot Hassan A. Abbas several times in March, and left with his wallet, cell phone and car.
