To those that now feel we should ban our guns again due to some crazy person pulling the trigger and killing people, shame on you! We cannot live in a society where rules are set based on emotional connection only. Because some crazy individual pulls a trigger, people are calling for the end of guns! This is ludicrous! The problem lies in the fact that someone had extreme views and expressed them upon others.
Can we not relate this to other subjects in our world? How about religion? How about David Koresh or the 9/11 hijackers? Did they not hold extreme viewpoints and act violently with these beliefs? Should we now ban those religions because people acted extremely malicious due to their religious beliefs?
As a side note, I understand that the man responsible for tackling the extreme gunman in Arizona was a concealed carrier. He used good judgment in tackling the gunman and not discharging his weapon amongst the crowd. If I am wrong on this fact, I apologize, and please correct me.
Guns are not the problem. People are the problem. Inanimate objects or beliefs do not act on others, people do.
