Despite being shorthanded with five open weights, Jefferson City survived the wrestling battles to take fifth in the team standings with 175 points at this weekend's Capital City Invitational.
"If we have another four or five kids, we're probably looking at another 40 points or so," Cagle said. "We knew coming in we'd probably not be in the team race, but we were excited about the fact we were going to face great competition."
The Jays finished with two individual champions.
