What's done is done.

"Every game is a big game in conference play," Missouri coach Mike Anderson said as the Tigers (14-2, 0-1) prepared to host the Nebraska Cornhuskers (13-2, 1-0) in Big 12 men's basketball action tonight at Mizzou Arena.

"When you win them or lose them, you need a short memory. We can't let that game have a bearing on this one. It's big, just as all of them are."

"That game" was an 89-76 loss Saturday afternoon at Colorado to open conference play that snapped a nine-game Missouri winning streak. Anderson was still irked days later about the defensive effort of the now 15th-ranked Tigers in that contest, as Missouri allowed a pair of 15-2 runs in the first half.

"We need to play a better brand of defense," he said.

Defense is the name of the game for Nebraska, which comes into the 6 p.m. contest (KOMU-TV) riding an 11-game winning streak. It's the first of two big road games this week for the Cornhuskers, who will play Saturday at No. 3 Kansas.
