Florida State handles Missouri, 75-53

Cierra Bravard scored 17 points, Courtney Ward had 14 and No. 25 Florida State overcame a slow start to surge past Missouri 75-53 on Sunday.

The Seminoles (12-3) trailed 11-7 before putting together a 13-0 run, and was in control the rest of the way, snapping Missouri's five-game winning streak. It was their final tuneup before opening Atlantic Coast Conference play on Thursday at Virginia Tech.

Alexa Deluzio added 11 points for Florida State, which shot 51 percent overall and was 5-for-9 from 3-point range. Florida State dominated in every area and held Missouri (8-5) to a season-worst 26.4 percent shooting.

Ward, a senior, became the 24th player in school history to score 1,000 points.

Christina Flores had 16 points for Missouri and RaeShara Brown finished with 10. The Tigers face No. 4 Xavier on Wednesday in Cincinnati.

Sydney Crafton (Jefferson City High School) had six points and eight rebounds for the Tigers.
