GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Jasmine Thomas scored 21 points and No. 8 Duke won its second straight Atlantic Coast Conference tournament championship by beating No. 19 North Carolina 81-66 on Sunday.

Freshman Haley Peters added 14 points and Karima Christmas had 13 for the top-seeded Blue Devils (29-3). They shot 46 percent against a stingy North Carolina defense and held the Tar Heels (25-8) scoreless for 6 1/2 minutes down the stretch.

Jessica Breland scored 27 points for North Carolina, and her free throw put the Tar Heels up 54-53 with 9:28 left. The Blue Devils then reeled off 15 straight points as part of a 20-2 run to take command and beat their top Tobacco Road rivals for the second time in eight days.

Allison Vernerey finished with 10 points for Duke, the first team to repeat as ACC tournament champion since North Carolina won the event four straight years beginning in 2005.

No. 1 Connecticut 59, No. 17 Georgetown 43

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Stefanie Dolson scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Huskies into the semifinals of the Big East tournament.

Tiffany Hayes added 10 points for the Huskies, who will face Rutgers on Monday night in the semis. UConn (30-1) has won 18 straight games since its lone loss of the season to Stanford on Dec. 30 that snapped the Huskies' record 90-game winning streak.

Sugar Rodgers scored 17 to lead Georgetown (22-10).

No. 4 Tennessee 90, No. 16 Kentucky 65

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Angie Bjorklund scored 23 points, including seven 3-pointers, and the Lady Vols hit a school- and tournament-record 16 3-pointers to win the Southeastern Conference championship.

Shekinna Stricklen scored 19 points and Meighan Simmons added 16 for Tennessee (31-2), which won its 15th SEC tournament title overall.

Victoria Dunlap and Bernisha Pinkett each had 15 points for Kentucky (24-8).

No. 6 Xavier 69, Charlotte 53

LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - Amber Harris had 23 points and 16 rebounds as Xavier advanced to the Atlantic 10 championship game with its 17th straight win.

Ta'Shia Phillips added 22 points and 11 rebounds for Xavier (27-2), which will play for its fourth A10 title in five years Monday night against Dayton.

Epiphany Wilson scored 20 points and Amanda Dowe had 12 rebounds for Charlotte (23-9), which went nearly 6 minutes without a field goal beginning late in the first half.

No. 7 Notre Dame 63, Louisville 53

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Devereaux Peters had 19 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks to lead the Fighting Irish into the semifinals of the Big East tournament.

The Irish (25-6) will play DePaul on Monday night in a rematch of last Monday night's game in which the Blue Demons scored with about 6 seconds left to edge the Irish by one point. That win earned DePaul the No. 2 seed in the tournament.

Shoni Schimmel scored 12 to lead the Cardinals (20-12).

No. 12 DePaul 66, St. John's 54

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Anna Martin scored 17 points to lead DePaul into the semifinals of the Big East tournament.

Keisha Hampton and Katherine Harry each added 10 points for the Blue Demons (27-5), who will play the winner of the quarterfinal between Notre Dame and Louisville on Monday.

Nadirah McKenith had 12 points and seven steals, Amanda Burakoski had 11 points and Da'Shena Stevens added 10 for St. John's (21-10).

Rutgers 68, No. 20 Marquette 62

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - April Sykes scored 16 of her 18 points in the second half to lift Rutgers into the semifinals of the Big East tournament.

Monique Oliver added 18 points and Chelsey Lee had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Scarlet Knights (19-11), who have won five straight and face top-ranked UConn in the semis.

Angel Robinson had 18 points and Jasmine Collins tied a career high with 17 points for the Golden Eagles (23-8).

No. 22 Gonzaga 96, Portland 71

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Kayla Standish scored 23 points and Janelle Bekkering added 17 as the Bulldogs cruised into the West Coast Conference final for the fifth straight season.

WCC player of the year Courtney Vandersloot added 16 points and 14 assists for Gonzaga (27-4), which has won 17 in a row and will face Saint Mary's in Monday's WCC final.
