Family offers family fun to keep kids off drugs

Aaron Gillam will perform magic with the help of his family, 9-year-old son David, 11-year-old daughter Marie and his wife, Denise, on Saturday to raise funds for the Council for Drug Free Youth.

Jefferson City magician Aaron Gillam is practicing for his escape - against his doctor's advice - while recovering from a broken collarbone that occurred while playing football with his son.

This will be the first time he's performed the effect in front of an audience.

What: Gillam Family magic show, which benefits the Council for Drug Free Youth (CDFY).

When: 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011.

Where: Miller Performing Arts Center, Jefferson City.

Cost: $5.
