Sedalia man gets 11 life terms for sexual abuse

MARSHALL, Mo. (AP) - A Sedalia man convicted of sexually abusing three young relatives has been sentenced to 11 consecutive life terms in prison.

Forty-nine-year-old Terry Prisendorf was convicted in December of 14 charges of sex crimes. Two girls told police that he and a co-defendant, Laurie Becker, abused them in 1996 and 1997. The victims were Becker's relatives who lived with the couple at the time.

A third woman, a relative of Prisendorf, came forward in January 2010 with more accusations against the couple.

The Sedalia Democrat reports that before he was sentenced on Monday, Prisendorf told the judge that he was innocent.

Becker pleaded guilty in December to 15 counts of sex crimes against children. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday.
