A short bench can mean a long day against the Missouri Tigers.
Last month, Iowa State visited Mizzou Arena with a core group of seven players. The Tigers ran the Cyclones off the floor in an 87-54 decision. This afternoon, the Oklahoma Sooners (12-11) will bring a similar scheme into a 12:30 p.m. Big 12 Conference contest (KMIZ-TV) against the Tigers (18-6).
"I expect this is going be like every game in our league, it's going to be a tough ball game," Missouri coach MIke Anderson said.
The Sooners, who have dropped two straight games, have four players averaging 31-plus minutes per contest in their fifth season under head coach Jeff Capel. In their last six games, Sooner starters are averaging 34.7 minutes a game.
