Amish man convicted on additional charges

BOWLING GREEN, Mo. (AP) - An Amish man who last year pleaded guilty to sex crimes in Missouri has pleaded no contest to charges in Wisconsin.

The Hannibal Courier-Post reports that 26-year-old Chester A. Mast entered the plea Tuesday in Waushara County, Wis., to a charge of repeated acts of sexual assault of same child. Sentencing will be April 28.

In September, Mast pleaded guilty in Pike County, Mo., to charges of felony statutory rape, statutory sodomy and sexual misconduct involving a child. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Mast was arrested in May after authorities were contacted by members of Pike County's Amish community. In Missouri, authorities alleged crimes involving five underage girls, including three who were Amish.
