The reach of this week's winter storm has extended into today.
But not for everybody. A handful of events featuring local teams are scheduled to be held today.
- The Helias Lady Crusaders are slated to open play in the St. Francis Borgia Tournament against Union. Game time is 5:30 p.m. The tournament will continue Saturday.
- The Blair Oaks Falcons wrestling team will travel to St. Louis to take on Whitfield and Vianney in a triangular.
- The Falcons boys basketball team may still play its scheduled game at Hermann. That decision will be made this morning.
Among tonight's cancellations:
- The Jefferson City Lady Jays' home basketball game against Parkview. The schools will try to reschedule the contest before the start of the district tournament later this month, but a game Saturday is out.
- But the Jefferson City Jays may play Saturday at DeSoto after tonight's boys basketball game was called off. A decision about rescheduling could be made today.
- The Helias Crusaders' boys basketball contest at Eldon is off for tonight. No make-up date has been announced.
- The Southern Boone Classic for both boys and girls has been called off and will not be rescheduled.
