Although Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow Wednesday, the winter weather will not be stopping in the immediate future for Mid-Missouri.

Meteorologist Laura Kanofsky said we'll be dealing with extremely cold temperatures Wednesday night and this morning as temperatures hover around minus 5 to minus 9. Even with light winds, the wind chills could dip to minus 20.

"Although there is a chance for some snow Friday or Saturday, the better chance is for sometime between Sunday night and Tuesday," she said. "It will be very challenging to recover from this."
