Due to inclement weather Tuesday, Jefferson City's Department of Public Works, in conjunction with the contractor, Missouri American Water Company, has rescheduled the closing of Jackson Street between East Capitol and State Street.
The closure will now take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday.
This closure will allow the contractor to install a new water main.
Weather and construction progress permitting, this work should be completed by the end of the work day.
Motorists should avoid the area.
