Soldier pleads guilty to producing child porn

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A soldier from Fort Leonard Wood has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography.

Federal prosecutors announced Thursday that 35-year-old Lawrence Ellrick admitted that he used a minor female to produce child pornography between Jan. 1 and May 31, 2010.

As part of his plea, Ellrick agreed to forfeit computer equipment and a digital camera that were used to commit the crime.

Ellrick faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison without parole, with a maximum of 30 years, plus a fine up to $250,000.
