Speed Limit Changes Planned for U.S. 54 and Osage Beach Parkway in Camden County

Motorists traveling on U.S. 54 and Osage Beach Parkway at the Lake of the Ozarks should be aware of speed limit changes taking place between Linn Creek and Osage Beach in Camden County.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is adjusting the speed limits on portions of both roadways to maintain consistent speed and traffic flow through the area. The speed limit change is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 14, or Thursday, Dec. 15, as weather conditions allow.

Between Route Y and the new expressway, the speed limit on U.S. 54 has increased from 60 to 65 m.p.h. This will allow for a consistent, 65 m.p.h. speed between Route Y in Camden County and Bagnell Dam Blvd. in Miller County.

The speed limit on Osage Beach Parkway has changed from 50 to 45 m.p.h. between Key Largo Road and El Terra Road, to match the remainder of the parkway.

Crews will work from the highway shoulders to install the new speed limit signs. Motorists should be alert and use caution through the area.
