Blues holiday party to raise funds

A holiday party, hosted by the MO Blues Association, will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at Bones in downtown Jefferson City.

The event will feature The Blue Max Band, winner of the 2011 Blues Blast, and Christopher Bryant, winner of the 2011 Blues Bang.

Both performers were quarterfinalists from Central Missouri in the 2012 International Blues Challenge and are Memphis-bound for the finals.

Memphis-style soul food will be served.

The tradition will continue of collecting donations for the U.S. Marine Corps League's Toys for Tots and for the Central Missouri Food Bank.
