GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Breanna Stewart scored 26 points to help No. 2 Connecticut rout East Carolina 89-38 on Wednesday for its 10th straight victory.

Moriah Jefferson added 16 points, and Morgan Tuck had 14 for the Huskies (11-1, 2-0 American Athletic Conference). Two-time defending national champion UConn never trailed, shot nearly 55 percent and put it away by scoring the first 21 points of the second half.

UConn converted 29 turnovers by East Carolina into 36 points to hand the Pirates (9-4, 0-2) a blowout loss in their first home game in their new conference.

Jada Payne had seven points to lead East Carolina.

NO. 5 TEXAS A&M 75, NORTH TEXAS 38

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Courtney Walker scored 12 points and Texas A&M beat North Texas to improve to 12-2

A&M coach Gary Blair was sick, but still sat on the end of the bench. Associate head coach Kelly Bond-White paced the sideline and called out plays in his place.

The Aggies closed the first half with a 30-10 run to take a 35-18 lead. In that span Chelsea Jennings scored all 10 of her points and Curtyce Knox added eight, both off the bench for slow-starting A&M.

Texas A&M rebounded from consecutive losses to No. 3 Texas and Washington against the overmatched Mean Green (1-10).

INDIANA 70, NO. 24 MICHIGAN ST 51

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Jenn Anderson scored 19 points, Tyra Buss had a career-high 15 rebounds and Amanda Cahill had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Indiana.

Buss added 10 points and Indiana (11-2, 1-1 Big Ten) held Michigan State (8-5, 0-2) to its lowest scoring output of the season, more than 22 points below its season average.
