Milwaukee murder suspect arrested in JC last week

A Wisconsin man wanted for killing a 19 year-old man July 10 in Milwaukee was arrested in Jefferson City last week, then returned to Wisconsin after Milwaukee police detectives questioned him and several Jefferson City residents.

Derek Robert Farrow, 23, Milwaukee, was charged with 1st degree intentional homicide while armed, and burglary.

Jefferson City police announced Tuesday the local arrest followed a Milwaukee notice that Farrow might be staying with relatives on Case Street.

Police reported they "conducted surveillance on the location," then arrested Farrow shortly after noon Aug. 16, in the 900 block of Stadium Boulevard, after he left the relatives' home and got into a vehicle which police then stopped.

He initially was held on a Wisconsin probation violation warrant until Milwaukee officials came to Missouri.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/qC9qsV ) that Farrow was charged Tuesday in the July 10 killing of 19-year-old Ashantia L. Lindsey.
