What started out as a customer's regular trip to Mr. G's Liquor Store to get a soda became a friendship with lasting impact on the store's owner, Norris Gerhart.
Every afternoon when Craig Tuttle exited the bus after work, he stopped to get a soda. Each visit with Gerhart became a little longer and more meaningful. That's why after Tuttle died suddenly on May 3 of heart arrhythmia, his family asked Gerhart to deliver the eulogy.
After Tuttle's death, memorial contributions and donations of friends have provided money for a covered lunch area at Capitol Projects West, where Tuttle worked and wanted a place to get out of the sun.
