New hospital given height variance

The new St. Mary's Health Center complex on Missouri 179 has been approved for a building height of 120 feet and a 680-square-foot sign, 120 feet above grade.

At the Jefferson City Board of Adjustment meeting Tuesday, representatives from St. Mary's, as well as contractors and architects for the project, presented plans for the new complex, which exceeds city code in signage and building height. The hospital will be relocating to the new site by 2015.
