The Lincoln baseball team scored in each of the first four innings and went on to post a 7-5 win over Northwest Missouri State on Friday at Lincoln Field.

The Blue Tigers got it started with a run in the first, as Chris Pfau, Adam Rush and Cedric Belt had three straight singles to push a run across.

Northwest Missouri State tied it in the top of the second, but the Blue Tigers scored two runs in both the second and third to go up 5-1.

With the win, the Blue Tigers improved to 14-25 overall and 12-25 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, while the Bearcats dropped to 17-26 and 16-21 in the MIAA.

The teams will play one nine-inning game at 3 p.m. today at the American Legion Post 5 Sports Complex. They will then wrap up the weekend by playing a pair of seven-inning games starting at noon Sunday at Lincoln Field.
