Friends hope for couple's safe return

WILLARD, Mo. (AP) - Friends and family of a missing southwest Missouri couple are holding out hope that the pair is still alive.

They gathered at a vigil Sunday evening to pray for Russell and Rebecca Porter, who disappeared from their rural home northeast of Willard the weekend of April 16-17.

Corey Ellsworth, who is Rebecca Porter's son, says friends and volunteers are putting up flyers in several states with the couple's photographs and other information.

The Greene County Sheriff's Office ended their search at the Porters' home on Friday but say they are following several leads.
