Chris Wyrick has stepped down as head baseball coach at Helias High School, effective immediately.

"I'm going to miss it," Wyrick said Wednesday night.

Wyrick, who will remain as a teacher at the school, was in his 12th season as head coach of the Crusaders. He finishes with a career record of 210-68 at Helias after posting a 15-12 mark as head coach at St. Elizabeth High School in 1999.

The Crusaders won Class 3 state titles in 2000 and 2001 under Wyrick and finished fourth in Class 4 in 2004 after being moved up by the MSHSAA multiplier.
