ST. LOUIS (AP) - Fontbonne University says it's reviewing a decision to have author Greg Mortenson give the commencement address next month.
On Monday, Fontbonne president's office said plans with Mortenson were "under review."
Mortenson, co-author of the bestseller "Three Cups of Tea," has become a celebrated humanitarian for his work establishing schools for girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
But a "60 Minutes" investigation that aired Sunday, alleges that the book is filled with inaccuracies and that Mortenson's charitable organization has taken credit for building schools that don't exist.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Fontbonne had also announced plans to give Mortenson an honorary degree at the May 21 ceremony.
