JC School Board selects new officers

Alan Mudd is the new president of the Jefferson City Board of Education.

He was chosen Monday at the board's monthly meeting, after the new board members took their oaths of office following last week's elections.

Joy Sweeney is the board's new vice president. And Tami Turner was elected secretary.

Claudia Borgmeyer, who serves as secretary to both the school board and the superintendent, was re-elected Monday to the board secretary's post.
