BONNE TERRE, Mo. (AP) - The family of an inmate who died at a prison in Bonne Terre says prison officials are not giving them any information about what happened.
Twenty-five-year-old Michael L. King died March 23 at the prison, where he was serving time for robbery.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the family is frustrated that prison officials are discussing the death with them.
St. Francois County coroner James Coplin says an autopsy was inconclusive and he's waiting for results from toxicology tests.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that his aunt, Hattie King, says her nephew had bruises on his body when it was returned to the family after the autopsy. His family says he was mentally disabled but did not have heart problems or other medical issues.
