If the Blair Oaks Falcons were worried about playing against all Class 4 schools at the Capital City Invitational, those worries were quickly washed away.

After dropping a competitive first game 6-2 to Eureka, the Falcons bounced back for an 11-2 win against Blue Springs in the nightcap and moved to the fifth-place game against either Hickman or Rockwood Summit at 12:30 p.m. today at the American Legion Post 5 Sports Complex.

"We gained some confidence today," Blair Oaks coach Harv Antle said about getting to play two Class Four schools.

After failing to come up with timely hits against Eureka, the Falcons' bats woke up in the second game as they put crooked numbers up in three of the seven innings.
